Born from a love of travel and great flavors, Aina Kesä was created to bring vibrant, feel-good treats to Finland — no matter the season.

Aina Kesä began with a simple feeling.
The kind you get when you’re traveling — discovering new flavors, exploring vibrant cafés, and living in the moment. When everything feels light, exciting, and full of life.
That feeling of summer.
After experiencing food cultures across different countries, one question kept coming back:
Why doesn’t this exist in Kuopio?
In a place where summer is short and quickly fades, I wanted to create something that could hold onto that feeling a little longer.
So I decided to build it.
I invested in a food truck and started bringing the idea to life — step by step, learning everything along the way.
Not just a business, but something different.
Something colorful.
Something customizable.
Something that makes people smile.
Aina Kesä means Always Summer — and for us, summer is more than a season. It is a feeling, a memory, a place, and sometimes even a flavor.
Many of our drinks and treats are inspired by things I personally enjoyed during my travels, flavors I grew up with, and little food memories I wanted to bring here to Kuopio.
Our menu may look like it has a lot of choices — and honestly, that is the point. We only have a few short months of summer to do our job, so we want to make sure you get the best out of it.
With premium ingredients and playful combinations, every detail is designed to offer more than just a drink or dessert — but a moment to enjoy.
Our Ube Coconut Latte tastes like home. In the Philippines, ube is basically our matcha — beautiful, nostalgic, and deeply loved. I added ube to our menu back in 2022, but maybe the world was not ready yet. Now, it finally is.
Our Glow Smoothies are inspired by tropical desserts — like mango and coconut milk, which reminds me of Thai mango sticky rice.
Our Pistachio Latte started in Naples, Italy, back in 2022 — way before the Dubai pistachio trend took over everyone’s feed. That was the first time I tried pistachio latte and pistachio desserts, and I instantly got addicted. That is why we do not use basic pistachio syrup. We use real Italian pistachio cream for that rich, creamy, nutty flavor.
Our Virgin Lime Mojito has a special travel memory behind it too. During a holiday in Alanya, Turkey, I told the hotel owner that I had a food truck in Finland selling drinks. He was kind enough to let me learn how to make mocktails during my stay. I do not drink alcohol, but I have always loved the combination of fresh mint and the tanginess of fresh lime — and that experience inspired me to bring a refreshing virgin mojito to Aina Kesä.
Our Pitaya drinks took time to make happen. Pink dragon fruit is not easy to find here in Finland, and it took a while to find a supplier. Now we can finally serve our Dragon Fruit Shake and Pitaya Glow Smoothie.
Our Red Velvet reminds me of when I lived in BGC, Manila. Every time I visited a café, I always looked for red velvet cupcakes — especially when I was pregnant and constantly craving them.
Our Thai Milk Tea brings me back to 2021, when I first discovered it. The flavor is hard to explain, but every time I prepare it and smell that familiar scent, it gives me Chiang Mai memories.
Our Wintermelon Milk Tea is probably my favorite milk tea flavor. It is not very common here in Finland, but it is a big flavor in Asia — and I really wish more people would try it.
And our Greek Frappe reminds me of Santorini, where I drank it almost every day.
Our waffles and chocolate treats also have a personal story. My best friend is Belgian, so of course we use Belgian chocolate and a Belgian-style waffle recipe.
It has not always been easy.
Building something from scratch comes with long days, challenges, and uncertainty. But seeing customers come back, try new favorites, and genuinely enjoy what we create — that makes it all worth it.
Today, Aina Kesä continues to grow and evolve, but the idea remains the same:
Create something people look forward to.
This is just the beginning.
One day, the vision is to open an Aina Kesä café that operates all year round — a space where summer never ends, even in the middle of winter.
A place filled with warmth, color, and good energy, no matter the season.
